The Steung Meteuk Hydro Power Plant is built with the welfare of Koh Kong residents in mind, the state of the art power plant provides 150 megawatts of electricity.

Steung Meteuk Hydropower Co., Ltd. is registered in 2014 and was later changed to Veari Akkisani Koh Kong Co., Ltd. after the acquisition of the company was completed by Mr. SUKSATHIT SARAYUT and Mrs. LY LAN, the shareholders of Veari Akkisani Koh Kong Co., Ltd. On 2024, therefore composite of Mr. SUKSATHIT SARAYUT 50% and Mrs. LY LAN 50%.
The project is located on the border of the Koh Kong province and Pursat province providing potential for further expansion of the facility to accommodate energy requirements for the national grid as well as supplying directly to the substation in Koh Kong city and Pursat province.
